NEW! The flowy beach trousers - crochet pattern
The free video tutorial will be out soon!
The flowy beach trousers have been such a hit on my social media, I’m so glad they’re finally here! Perfect for summer breaks, the drape and flow of the cotton yarn will ensure you stay cool and stylish.
The waistband is completely elasticated, it has a 1inch band of elastic running all the way through it meaning it will stretch over your hips and always snap back to sit nicely at your waist. These pants have been designed to sit just below the belly button, but there are instructions on how to make them more high waisted if that’s more your style!
The length of these crochet trousers is also completely customisable. We start at the waist and work down, so you can make them to your perfect length. You can also start the ‘flowy’ stitches whenever you want! The top of the pants is opaque, then as we go down the leg we add in the airy double treble crochet stitches. In my stripy pair, I started the airy stitches lower and in my black pair the airy stitches start much higher. The choice is yours!
This crochet pattern is suitable for more intermediate crocheters. If you aren’t quite up to this level I would definitely suggest the video tutorial. You’ll need to know skills such as chain, half double crochet in the back loop, slip stitch, double treble stitch (explained in pattern).
This crochet pattern has available sizes from XS - 2XL, suitable for hip sizes 33 - 53” and waist sizes 23 - 42”. For reference my stripy pair is a size medium and my black pair is a size small (I fall into the medium category).
There are lots and lots of photos included throughout the pattern to help you along the way.
You will need:
- 1850 - 2850 yards of sport weight / size 2 cotton yarn. More details are included in the pattern.
- 3.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- a length of 1 inch wide flat elastic (enough to fit around your waist
- sewing thread
- sewing needle
- yarn needle
- scissors
- measuring tape
- 4 stitch markers
If you have any questions at all please feel free to email me at georgiajeggo@gmail.com !
You can sell your finished crochet pants, all I ask is for credit as the original designer and the link to my website www.jeggocrochet.com - you may not use my photos in your own listings.
