THIS KNIT SWEATER PATTERN IS MADE WITH CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLES. It is worked in the round, bottom up. The only seaming involved is the tops of the shoulders. You can find the flat / straight needle version here: https://www.jeggocrochet.com/shop/p/the-textured-stripes-sweater-flat-knitting-pattern
There is a free video tutorial of the flat version here: https://youtu.be/Shr4dJCc3Bc
The textured stripes sweater is a modern knitting pattern made using cotton yarn so you can wear it all year round. The cotton aran yarn (I used Wool and the gang shiny happy cotton in eagle grey) gives the sweater the beautiful drape whilst keeping you warm at the same time. It’s so easy to chuck on with literally anything! I have been living in mine and don’t plan on changing that any time soon.
This simple knitting pattern is suitable for the advanced beginner knitter. If you would prefer to knit this piece flat on straight needles and seam it together at the end then go for the other version linked above (which is suitable for the confident beginner knitter).
You'll need to do techniques like cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, seaming and decrease stitches.
This knitting pattern is slouchy and oversized… just my style! The pattern has a simple shape and simple instructions, with colour co-ordination for the different sizes.
This knit pattern is size inclusive with sizes available from XS - 5XL, suitable for bust sizes 28 - 62”
There are lots of photos included throughout the pattern to help you along the way.
See below for materials required.
